Special Interest Groups

Upon the receipt of a written request from at least twenty-five members, Council may, at its discretion, create a Special Interest Group and approve terms of reference. A Special Interest Group will consist of members of the Society not necessarily collocated, who are interested in a particular area of meteorology or oceanography, and who desire to join together. Council shall have the power to dissolve a Special Interest Group at any time if the Group ceases to meet its responsibilities as outlined in this By-Law. Non-members as well as members of the Society may affiliate with a Special Interest Group.
